The Campaign
Together, let’s expand the light!
At The Chai Center - Chabad, we are expanding. Expanding the Programs. Expanding our Impact. Spreading the Joy. Keeping the flame of Judaism alive and strong.
Today, we ask you for your support. Together let’s continue to connect Jews with each other and create personalized Jewish experiences promoting Jewish identity and pride.
Our Expanding our impact matching campaign will empower us to continue to grow and expand. Our response to Covid was to increase in spreading light, positivity, hope, inspiration and connection. We expanded our campus with the new patio, creating space to provide opportunities to mix, mingle and find meaning.
In the face of many challenges, we never stopped. Hosting the Chai Center Preschool and multiple events a week including weekly services enabled everyone to find their own personal connection. Our socially distanced, limited capacity events ensure physical safety while providing spiritual and social sustenance.
Our drive-by and virtual events means that everyone can participate. Investing into our outdoor 4000 sf patio space and expanding the our Campus allowed us to continue hosting interactive and engaging experiences. Our family programs, preschool, Shul Services ,Holiday programs and life cycle events hosted in the Chai Center, means there’s a space for every Jew to feel at home.
For many, 2020 was a year of lockdown, quarantine, shutdown and stay at home. For us, 2020 was a year of expansion, with socially distant programming and experiences. The challenges of a global pandemic only fueled our growth. We delivered food packages, holiday experiences in a box and virtual services bringing the energy of the Chai Center Family Shul into hundreds of homes. Your support of our Expanding the Light ! fundraising campaign will help us continue to expand, ensuring a vibrant Jewish future for our community.
Funds Raised in the Expand the Light campaign will be utilized as follows:
- 40% Dire needs scholarships to our Preschool , Hebrew School and Social Services
- 35% Chai Center Annual Operating Budget
- 25% Preliminary Planning & Permitting for Major Capital Project (details to be released 2Q 2020)

Chai Center
Chai Center means many things to many people. To some it’s a school and a youth center; to others it’s a synagogue and a community center. To others a social service center for the troubled or a chaplaincy service for the imprisoned or informed. Indeed, there is little within the realm of outreach and education that is outside of the scope of this multidimensional cause. Together we can perform build a stronger, more vibrant, Jewish Community!
